Bob Gruber, Manager of Excess Purchasing
Since 1994, Bob Gruber's roles at America II have ranged from directing operations to serving as General Manager of its
IC recovery division. Gruber's involvement at America II shifted to excess procurement in 1998, when
this division of the company began making a major impact on the success and growth of the company as a
whole. Throughout his tenure as Director of Recycling and Material Solutions for America II's excess
division, and since his promotion to Manager of this division in January 2001, Gruber has helped take
the company's Excess Team from three people to 21 - and growing. To coordinate efforts between his team
and America II's inside and field sales personnel, Gruber further draws on two years of owning and
operating his own business, serving as Operations and Sales Manager for Roadway Express, and spending
eight years on the NFL offensive line.
