When extensive research revealed that expertise in commodity product and spot market fulfillment, as well as excess inventory and mature product management programs, were lacking across Asia's electronics community, America II chose Yokohama, Japan as the initial site for its Asian expansion in July 2000. Continued dialogs with Asian customers and business partners and studies of the Asian market led America II Asia to relocate its headquarters to Singapore in 2002. Between its Singapore headquarters and Yokohama Branch, America II Asia supports a multi-lingual call center, carries out global procurement and sourcing strategies, and extends its excess inventory management programs across the Asian market.
